Evidence of this Notion:
-

Major broadcasting stations are making their content available on the net.
Cable companies work to bring new online content to pay-TV subscribers - Television manufacturers including Sony, Samsung, etc. are already including network functionality into their device.
Philips goes Internet TV
Sony reveals internet enabled TV’s - Netflix is trying to work deals with broadcasts such as HBO to stream content for a monthly fee.
Netflix moving towards streaming subscriptions
Netflix May Stream HBO for an Added $10
Reasons to Switch:
- There are more devices connected to the internet in the world today than there are televisions. Satellites cannot reach dead spots, such as underground buildings whereas wi-Fi repeaters can be installed (or more easily installed than satellite repeaters) underground.
- Content on the internet allows ability to multi-task, view shows from an unlimited number of sources, and rids the need of TIVO.
- It’s what the consumer wants and can be proven by the growing number of people watching content over the net. For example, look at the traffic YouTube.com brings.
What To Do:
- Purchase .TV domains. They were $20 when they were first released over a year ago and they are now $30. I recommend picking names associated with an industry whether it be animals, hobbies, films, or comics.
