i’m currently in minneapolis, MN for work till the end of the week. first of all, this place is freezing cold. before i got here, it used to be -30. they said if you stayed outside for more than 10 minutes, you’d get frostbite. insane! good thing is that the temp. here has risen to mid 30s.
in any case, this place looks like a ski resort, snow everywhere. the interesting thing about minneapolis is that there’s lakes everywhere. this is the first time i’ve ever seen a frozen lake. when i first saw people driving their cars on the frozen lakes, i thought they were insane. turns out they’ve gone ice fishing.
today, me and my colleague took our rented suv out near the lake. my colleague didn’t want to drive out on to the lake so we didn’t. but, we did walk onto the lake and took some pictures. i’ll have to get them from him and add them to my site. in the mean time, here’s what it might have looked like:
